The 1st May is the Time for Beltane! One of the Fire Festivals of the year, Celebrating Passion, fertillity, sensuality and the sacred union of the Masculine and Feminine. Traditional Origins and SignificanceRoots: The word translates to "bright fire" or "fire of Bel". Historically observed in Ireland, Scotland, and the Isle of Man, it is one of the four main seasonal festivals in the Celtic calendar.Symbolic Meaning: It sits midway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice, serving as a time when rural communities appealed to deities to bless their livestock and harvest.Fire Rituals: Fire is central to the event.
